Eastman Lake

Approximately two hours from Boston, and just minutes from Vermont lies Eastman Lake, also known as Eastman Pond. Located in the towns Grantham and Enfield, NH this 320-acre reservoir was created by a dam that is owned by the Eastman Community Association (ECA). Stony Brook is the lake’s primary inflow, and Eastman Brook is its outflow. The lake stretches two and a half miles long and half a mile wide. Three islands dot the surface of the lake, the largest of which has a place to dock a boat. The sand beaches that surround the lake are owned by the ECA and open to members only. There is a public boat ramp at the south end of the lake where you can launch a kayak, canoe, sailboat or other small craft. The lake has a 10 mile per hour speed limit that ensures everyone will enjoy a peaceful day on the water.

Fishing is popular, and Eastman Pond has some of the best trout in New Hampshire, as well as a variety of other fish species. In addition to the year-round water recreation available, the lake is ringed with trails for hiking and biking, which are used in winter for snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Eastman Lake offers exceptional recreation opportunities.
