Center Pond is a very attractive body of water that is both long and narrow in shape. The bottom is composed primarily of rock and rubble; aquatic vegetation is sparse and scattered. Transparency is very good, extending to 12 feet or more. The mountainous, wooded shoreline is moderately developed with summer camps and cottages. Public access is limited to a narrow right of way suitable primarily for shore fishing, although a canoe or car top boat can be portaged across it. The right of way is difficult to locate and there is no formal parking area.
